Are there any local stores that would sell hood lifts or would I have to buy them online?

Pretty sure RedlingTuning is the only place that makes 'em, and they don't sell them in stores.

Redline's got pretty good service though, you'll be fine ordering from them. They ship to Canada so I imagine they'd ship to Hawaii.

I looked at them and they connect with rivets, which really sucks. I wouldn't be able to put the Ram Air hood on if I decided to get one I mean I could drill out the rivets but then end's would fall into the stock hood and I couldn't sell it

I don't think you'd have much of an issue with drilling them out, so I wouldn't worry about it. You can easily get new rivets anyways.

I'm just worried about the part that you drill out would fall down into the hood and rattle all the time.

You can remove the lifts and just leave the brackets.
I ordered new brakets and left my old ones on my stock hood.

No reason to drill or take the brackets off.

Move them to a different car by just ordering new brackets then installing them.

Well you could just get a rivet popper and take them out that way, then you won't have any pieces left. But yeah you could leave em on too as well, not the end of the world.

Your problem is solved by buying another set of brakets. Its like 10-15 bucks.
