What's it mean?

I know what the initials 'GT' mean and even the meaning of 'GTO' but does anybody know what 'GTP' means, if anything?
Secondly from the info on '08's it seems the 6 spd manual has been dropped; do the members feel this will affect the desirability and/or sales of the G6. I mean why did Pontiac create an engine and a model and then drop it after so little time?

and the 6mt/3.9l thing has been brought up before. it was only used as a filler engine/tranny combo for a year until the production numbers for the 3.6l could be ramped up enough to fill the demand for the G6 GTPs and others. at least that was the last i read about it.
