That's pretty cool. Wouldn't be too hard to rig up either.

I agree it'd probably be really easy to wire up... i might try and make this a side project when I have some xtra cash

Anyone taken their OEM door sills off before? If so.. would it be possible to die-cut the "G6" out, glue some plexglass or something to the bottom and put a light underneath the sill?

The plates are really flimsy so extra care needs to be taken, other than that I think you could easily do it.

^along with that commend, I know my sill on my diver side is scratched to hell and has a couple dents from keys and what not dropping onto it-I'm be worried that they would end up looking like hell after a few months.

Well, when you need to replace them, you can spend some time trying to light up the old ones. Would be a popular mod I think.

I've been thinking about replacing mine lately and putting something on them to guard against scratches....... takes away soooo much from the car....

^ I put 3M paint protection film over mine... works great so far since mine too were getting scratched.

I posted a pic of my driver side one ages ago, I had a rock stuck in my work boots at my last job, got in the car and it ripped a HUGE scratch into the front portion of it

Nice idea, but I wouldn't want to copy anything that Chrysler offers OEM. Original ideas please
