What the hell are the differences??? Same engine and drivetrain other then the tap-shift on the GT. Other then that whats the difference?

Major difference is the transmission and the suspension setup. GTs have slightly firmer ones, so called FE3 "Sport" suspension as opposed to "Touring" suspension, and the manual shift mode on the GT.

Well, hammer it round a corner, might see a bit of a difference. Otherwise, none.
And don't forget GT is the "enabling trim" for access to other features such as leather and that kind of stuff. <-- Gray G6? Click!

It depends on the year as well... 05 and 06 V6 models don't have ABS. The GT models do. The GT also has the upgraded wheels, from 16" to 17".Comment

HOnestly I have both the V6 and the GT the GT seems like a different car. It has more power and I believe it handles better. I like the GT better and would recommend it.Comment

The difference is that the GT has a "GT" badge on the back and the V6 doesn't have a "GT" badge.
Couldn't help it. I love my GT and have never driven the V6 so I can't tell you the difference in feel.Comment
