i drove my moms malibu maxx today and when i went to hit the brakes the front end of the car started shakeing like it was going to fall off. so i asked her when it started doing that and she said idk. so i think it just needs rotors so is there any good aftermarket ones out there that are vented and slotted for this car. she is hard on the brakes to the cars a 05 with 18k on it and mostly side road driveing

I would say that's why she needs breaks already. Tell her to stop slowing down so much, don't drive through puddles, and stop riding her breaks. Tell her to do that or you'll take her car away for a month.

this is her first V6 car and first car with 4 wheel ABS so she thinks it stops like her escort and she nails the brake and we all go flying. so they warped and we all blame her lol. i just washed it today it still had road salt on it. my older brother was like what are you doing raceing the maxx around she loves that car so much but she never cleanes it! if it didnt tell her to get the oil changed she never would lucky it tells her to. and i was just thinking i have never checked the air filter

actually it's probably not her fault. that is a common problem on the malibu maxx. i just changed my rotors yesterday at only 42k miles.

a mechanic buddy of mine said the reason they heat up and warp so easily is because the pads need to be a bit bigger to space out the friction more.

Whatever the reason, chances are it wasn't the driver's fault. It's an inherit problem that dates back over a decade. GM is notorious for having the cheapest brakes on some of their vehicles. It is not uncommon that rotors are replaced more frequently than brake pads.
