    Removing 3rd brake light ? (coupes)

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking for a how-to on removing the 3rd brake light from the back window ... I'm going to get my windows tinted and I want that piece tinted as well ... any ideas ?

    ^ x2 about removing the light. I have a brake light on my spoiler so the one inside isn't really neeed.

    FYI ... when I had my rear window tinted they got the tint inside the brake light by just sliding it down the window. Looks good.

      just make sure its profesional... are they diping it in tint or using that tint paper shit???

            I'm not sure how they got mine tinted but they did my whole rear window and it makes the third brake light look reallyl good at night.

              ^Mine too. My old boss got a blue G6 coupe and they cut out around the brake light. It looks really gay.

                Mine got tinted too, I didn't even think to ask them about it but they just went and did it.

                    I heard a good shop and lay the tint down on the entire window without removing anything. I think a couple people on here had that done.

                        well just make sure to ask them when you take the car in to do the third brake light also-it's not an impossible thing.

                          Okay ... we settled the tint question. But does anyone how to remove the rear window brake light on the coupes?

                            I don't think you can easily remove it. It's attached to the rear shelf, I think it was riveted or glued on. So if you want to access it, you have to remove the rear shelf, but it you want it completely out of your car I'm not sure how you would do it.
