    16.122 Gallons?

    Well I searched but I couldnt find what the capacity of the fuel tank is. I filled up tonight after running the tank pretty low and the pump said 16.122 gallons, $56.

    I thought we had a 16 gallon tank, is that right?

    16.3 gallons, to be more exact.

        Ya, I didnt check the manual. I just looked on here cause I dont feel like going to the car.

        I was pretty damn close to empty!

          damn, I've allowed my "low fuel" light to come on twice, and each time when I filled up it only took 13.2 and 13.6 gallons.

            i came within .3 gallons of empty on my jimmy but never that close on my pontiac. it can cause problems, especially during a cold winter. plus the filler neck and fuel lines all hold fuel which bumps it up a little over just the tank, but still that is running it pretty low.

              One time I ran out of gas 5" before the pump. People looked at me funny because I had to push it forward to reach the pump. I was damn lucky and she just gave me that look. Yeah you know the one.

                should be in the capacities portion of the owners manual

                      Actually the "er" spelling is typically used only in the USA. I guess if you don't use metric you wouldn't know how to spell the terms.

                            Yeah whenever the low fuel light comes on here, I put about 13.3 gallons in....

                              I would think the others are the same. I never let my low fuel light come on. Your fuel pump needs fuel to cool it.
