New So Cal Member saying "Hello"!!

Hey Folks!

Just bought a beautiful Red 2007 GT 3.5 Auto Hard Top Convertible with black cloth interior from CARMAX with only 11,000 miles on it!

Car looks brand new except I do have the clunking issue with the steering at low speed.

CARMAX said they will repair it but I wonder if they know how?

I'm going to contact them tomorrow and tell them to replace the intermediate shaft and I guess I'll just keep it lubed myself after that.

Only other issue they said they will fix is the steering wheel computer controls don't work to tell the average MPG and stuff.

Other than that the car runs fine, nice power.

Hope to find some So Cal area get togethers to meet other G6 owners
I live about 20 miles from Ortega Highway 74 here in So Cal.

Found out those controls are for the radio, lol.

I don't have a manual yet (CARMAX is paying for one) so I looked it up online.
Have to check the controls again today as I was informed the car info for MPG and stuff is in the radio.

Yeah the car looks BRAND NEW.

CARMAX showed me the Carfax and it had 3 owners before me believe it or not!

Between 2009 and 2012 it wasn't driven much at all, not good for a car but everything seemed ok mechanically on the test ride and CARMAX gives you a 100% complete warranty for 30 days if anything go's wrong.
This car was probably a 3rd "Sunday Drive" for someone.

Can't wait to take her on a nice long ride!!! Think I'll call her "Ruby" since she's a beautiful RED color!! lol

Also, someone could have bought it and got too sick or injured to drive.........or died and it sat for awhile.

OR........they had a lot of cars and just didn't drive this one much, it happens.

Buddy of mine had an 08 vert and he never drove it. It stayed in his garage.
I think he traded it last year with 4k miles on it.

Anyway the suspense is killing me! I don't actually have the car yet, CARMAX gave me a loaner V-6 Camry while they fix the steering "clunk"

Ok something weird going on here.....when I go to post it says "you have to wait 15 seconds to make another post" but it's my FIRST POST or response....it's duplicating every post I make??
