manual shift knob removal

hi, I am trying to remove my shift knob on my 20o6 g6 gtp, it is a 6 speed manual. I read on the forums that you just pull really hard, well that's not seeming to work and im not trying to break things, SOMEONE PLEASE HLP ME!!!!

Pull really really really hard. It does come off. I literally almost punched myself in the face when I changed mine.

I tried pulling as hard as I can. I even sat on my center console and put both feet on the seats and my head out the sun roof and pulled. It will not come off there has to be another way
