Factory optional high performance tires on 2007 GTP Coupe?

Are the factory optional summer tires always Bridgestone Potenza RE050A?

Tire Rack has more than one such tire listed, all for around $180 each. The factory option is only $200 retail for the 4-tire package. Seems that they must be different tires.

Anyone know for sure?

The factory option is an upgrade to the amount you are paying for the tires that come on the car. From Tire Rack you are buying a whole new set and you have the set that came on the car...

Plus they make up for it in the price of the car anyways... by far.

I understand that the $200 buys only the upgrade tires, instead of the standard Goodyear LS2s. Tire Rack charges only $93 plus shipping each for the Goodyears, and $179 plus shipping for the Bridgestones.

As take offs the Goodyears are only worth $50 each, so it ends up costing me around $600 to trade in the Goodyears for the Bridgestones. That is about $400 more than ordering from the GM factory.

I still don't know for a fact that the factory option is always the above mentioned Bridgestones. same as Tire Rack sell, or if they are some inferior tires.
