  • Painted the Brakes today what a differance !

I will spare everyone the 30 pictures we took to show off the car to all our friends but Here are the main ones. I did the lower front grill today and also did the caliber paint which was a first for me. Could not belive how easy , cheap and great it looks! And on top of it all i have enough to do my 2500 Avalanche as well. Gotta love that stuff. Used Red duplicolor kit. 15 bucks at kragens.

Looks good. I also put on "GT" decals which looks very cool.

Decals look awesome one painted calipers, gives them more of a factory look. If I could ever finish mine I would put my decals on.

how hard is it to paint calipers? how about drying time?

would love to do it on mine, but not sure how hard it is to do, and more importantly, would need to have my car out of service for no more than a day...

very simple...i painted mine while still on rotor (tape off what you dont want paint on, you shouldnt get alot anywhere anyway, but just in case)

clean caliper, apply maybe 3 layers of paint...let dry...all less than a day for sure

It's pretty easy....especially if you have jack stands, then you can do two brakes at a time. I did mine in around 3-4 hours, then let it dry overnight.
