1. Buy key(s) - mine are "GM Transponder Key 750" from iKeyless.com (2 for 12.88 total)
2. Cut key(s) - mine were done for free at Walmart. Note: At this point, all they can do is unlock door(s) and trunk.
3. Programming
If you DO NOT have a key:
1. Insert new transponder key and turn ignition to ON position. The dashboard security light (DSL) will turn on and stay on for 10 minutes.
2. Once the DSL goes out, you have one minute to begin step 3.
3. Turn ignition to OFF and then back to ON. Repeat for a total of two times.
4. Once the DSL has turned off for the third time, the key is programmed. This is now the ONLY key that is programmed and ALL previous key codes have been erased.
If you DO have a key:
1. Insert old transponder key and turn ignition to ON position then back to OFF.
2. Remove old key, insert new key and turn to ON position. (Must be done within 15 seconds)
3. The DSL will come on for 2 seconds to reveal successful programming.
