Cobalt SS, SRT-4, and RX-7 discussion

The only car I would take over the G6 would be the RX7 mainly because I had an RX7 and I love the rotary engine...

actually I was in the process of buying a victory red cobalt SS then I went and test drove the G6, there was no comparison. However that SC on that little 2.0 hauled ass. I opened it up on an onramp to the freeway and it just climbed in speed like nothing. I was blown away.

yeah I drove my friend Kara's and it totally surprised me, I almost went and looked at one too... but then I noticed about 4 of them in town and 3 were girls, made me think twice about it haha

Yeha.. spekaing of the SS, I was bored coming home from work, stopped by the chevy store and took one for a test drive as a "interested buyer"..lol.

AMAZING car indeed. In first, the tires would break free when you were at like 4500RPMS, chirp in 2nd AND third. If I could go back..I dunno, I may have gotten this over my G6.

NAH, the interior is shit compared to the G6, even with the Performance Package with the limited slip and the Recaro black leather-still doesn't have anything on the G6 IMO.

the main thing that turned me off.. was at first the SS was supercharged only and that was that.. now I've seen about 50 SS's that are auto and not S/C.. how does that make a car unique? Now when I see one I ask myself I wonder if its supercharged when before you didnt have to think that!

The seats were disapointing and so was th esalesman..didn't know jack shit about the car. He pointed to teh boost gauge on the A pillar and was like,, "That guage is bad ass, that shows you your air compression and how fast you are geting the turbo charger to run..."

I was like..uh, cool?!

If the SS could have the SRT-4's seats... Mm Mm Good.

I just like the whine of that supercharger lol..

if you've never had the pleasure of sitting at a stoplight next to a honda reving their can of bees for an exhaust at you.. then you rev yours and they hear the vroooom pssssssshhhh and then look the other way.. its classic!!

I know I know... but whats sad is that SS with it's lack of blow off sweetness is faster than the neon with it's sweet oll Pssshh noise..

I do love the bov on an Evo or anything twin turbo'd..lol.
