yeah my mom had an SSEi with the HUD and the new vette's have them too. they are killer. even a DIC like the vettes have mounted inside the gauge cluster instead of jumbling it in with the radio would have been better. i may buy one of these instal kits just to isolate the DIC but mount it elsewhere to leave room for my AVIC-D1 that i wantComment

Yeah, I've been contemplating this approach myself. The only problem is that there isn't much dash space left for it elsewhere. I don't have OnStar in my G6, so I considered mounting it in that plastic piece in the headliner. The only problem is that it's just not visible enough in that location and would cause you to keep taking your eyes off the road to look up.Originally posted by bristol16

$250 for just the dash kit!? I got the same one for $120...
Speaking of that metra kit, nobody on here seems to like it. They think it looks cheap, etc. But, I gotta tell ya, when people sit in my car, 100% of them don't even notice it...all they see is the stereo and forget about the rest.-Mike #1
