apparently this hooks directly into back harness of monsoon system. and runs a charger/wire to the ipod.

how come no one has tried this yet? im very tempted!

    I think I like it.

If you can find a good place to mount all the hardware it would be nice.

I'm guessing it connects via FM modulator, not directly into the back of the Monsoon. Although it seems like a pretty good deal for what you get.

I agree, but where I live FM Modulators are crap, that’s why I went with the hard wires unit. more expensive yes, but much more reliable.

Hmmm yeah.. I don't know too many people who have had good luck with those FM modulators. The only reason I would want an iPod would be to stick it in my car.. but I just don't know. I'd rather burn a CD or something.

I have excellent reception and sound with the Belkin TunBase I believe it's called however in AZ there really isn't a problem finding dead air to send the signal too.

Yeah right now i"ve got the Monster Cable iCarplay or whatever. It works pretty good but doesn't come with the controls like the Harmon Kardon one does.

I've had that one before, actually works really good.

The thing with the FM ones, you need to buy a good one. Don't complain if you buy a crappy brand then turn around and say it sucks.

There's a big difference between a $25 FM modulator and a $100 one. Although, the $100 one will never beat a hardwired setup.

Is very much location dependent. I've had both the cheap and the expensive one, granted the expensive one worked better, but still not to my satisfaction.

It's god awful and who wants more shit on their dash. The Axxess adapter works great for me so far.
