    Ford Reflex...solar, electric, and diesel powered all in one

    anybody else seen this thing? i think it looks pretty sick.

    inflatable seatbelts, suspension seats (mesh seating), and the OLED dash are awesome. it's definitely innovative and looks badass, but i have to wonder how heavily this project contributed to their current financial situation. i'd love to have one....just not the first model year of it lol.

    I dunno about how much it added to their financial situation - every automaker has to invest in prototypes like this to showcase what kinds of technology they're working with.

    But that is some pretty cool stuff they're showing. Even that car has lines that could be close to production, I like it.

      Looks like an Aston Martin mated with a Cougar....and actually turned out pretty nice.

      Some really neat technology in there too. Think we'll ever see any of it hit production?

            Well i think they got their BOLD point out with the styling. But if the thing is going to look that aggressive, MHO i think there should be more ponies under the hood. Alot of neat technology wrapped up in that thing though and it does look bold.

              Pretty sweet, but those mesh seats are kinda

              Personally, I wouldn't wanna sit in that back seat.

                  yeah i was kinda disappointed by the numbers but i think MPG is their main focus. i don't have too much experience working on diesel electrics though so i dunno how hard it is to get power out of them while keeping driveability and fuel economy in check.

                  and to the guys looking for a gasoline V8....that would defeat like 99% of the purpose of that car
