    eSI says 19 lb-ft for the 2005-6 3.5L LX9, but I would suppose it's the same for the LZ4. ahuhn can confirm.

      tight? i believe its called snug tight.. or grunt tight.. you know where you snug it up.. and give it a lil grunt.. that should do it fine..

        Its just a drain plug so good n tight is fine. But if ya reallu want it its 18ft lbs according to mitchell on demand for the 2.4

          Tight enough that it won't fall out on it's own.

          No one uses a torque wrench on these things. They don't need to be super tight at all. Just tight enough.

          My preference is to tighten it as far as I can with a 6" long socket wrench and then put one final extra push.

              Just be careful is all. When I first got my 6 I did an oil change on it... the stealership put it on with a friggen air gun I think because it was stripped to hell, had to buy a new one.

                  Id have a discussion with that manager than the tech about the proper use of tools and following manufacturer specifications. Also they would have bought my new drain plug.
