  • Molded guards for Vert

Anyone know why the GM Parts Direct website would not have the front guards listed as available for the 06 vert? The part number is 17800504.

Are the Molded Splash Guards different for the vert? That might explain the two different part numbers available for the front splash guards:

      17800504
Molded Splash Guards - Front with No Logo, Black

      12499554
Molded Splash Guards - Front, Custom, Left Hand & Right Hand, No Logo, Black

The 17800504 is for the 2-door 2006 on up. It will not fit if you have the ground effects and it will not fit the convertible.

The 12499554 is for the 4-door 2005 model year only.

There is no molded mud guard for the 2006 or 2007 convertible.

You can however put on a regular flat unmolded one.

The part number for the G6 logo'ed ones are 12499767.
The same sans the logo is 12497400.

Runs around $20 a set at any dealer.

I just picked up my Molded Splash Guards from the dealer on Saturday, I ordered:

          12499554
Molded Splash Guards - Front, Custom, Left Hand & Right Hand, No Logo, Black

          12499555
Molded Splash Guards - Rear, Custom, Left Hand & Right Hand, No Logo, Black

I have a 2007 GT Coupe (no body kit). So should I have ordered 17800504 instead of 12499554?

The rear on the 2007 coupe is 12499555 so your good there.

I would call your dealership parts place and ask them about
part number 17800504 as it shows to be the front ones for that car.

Looking up the 12499554 number indicates its for a 2005.

I am not sure it will fit but who knows. I would call them and double check
that number they gave you. Maybe they updated the part numbers and my data is old.

Let me know what they say.

None of those will fit the convertible from what I see....

Thanks for the help on this.

When I originally called the dealer they gave me part numbers 17800504 and 12499555.

I looked up these numbers online, which was when I found part number 12499554. Which I assumed was the matching number for 12499555 (the descriptions were almost identical, and the numbers were only different by the last digit).

So I asked the dealer to order 12499555 and 12499554.

It looks like the numbers the dealer originally gave me were correct, but I asked them to order the wrong part number for the front.

Unless 12499554 will fit the coupe...

                the 554 shows 2005 4 door.

Most dealers will take it back and order the correct one.
Just take it in with your receipt and say it doesnt look right
up against the car and could they verify that it fits the 2007 model.
They will look it up and see the diff in numbers and probably think it was
their mistake and credit/reorder for you.

                Thats what I would do.

Did it fit? I eyeballed Convert's car and it has a whole lot more flair to it
                    than my sedan.

Without removing the factory fasteners and drilling new holes (just test fitting them over top):

The 12499555's fit really nice on the rear. The holes look like they will align nicely, and the contour of the splash guard matches the contour of the body perfectly. No surprises here, this was expected.

As for the 12499554's, I probably could have made the holes line up, but the contour didn't match as nicely as the rears did. Really large gap right at the bottom of the rocker.

Dealer has ordered the 17800504's, which I'm assuming will fit just as nice as the rears do - stay tuned...

Thanks again for all the help!
