  • Keeping your windows spotless

Today I re- applied Rain X to the G6 windshield. All my cars get this stuff, especially my Piper Archer. Application is easy. First clean the windshield with Windex. make sure to dry it off completely. Then squirt some Rain X unto the windshield. Take a damp paper towel, and spred the Rain X evenly. Allow it to dry, then take a dry clean paper towel, and wipe the windshield till all residue is gone. I reply Rain X about once every 3 to six months, depending on exposure.

This is a great product, I've been using it for over 25 years. This stuff will repel the water off your windshield, and will keep you from developing water spots on the glass. I hardly ever use the wipers, especially during light to medium rain fall conditions. Just moving at or above 20 mph keeps the water moving.

Rain X can be found in most auto parts stores.

I've looked at this product in the store and wondered if it actually worked. I might give it a shot.

Their windshield washer fluid is good stuff too.

I recommend using Mother's Chrome Polish. Inside and out to create a 'perfect', streak free shine, better than any spray on window cleaner.
Also try clay baring, using windex as a lubricator, the windows before applying any cleaner. This will get rid of anything and everything that is rough on the glass.

Meguiars NXT glass cleaner is the best window cleaner I have ever come across, you can clay them but to get rid of water spots and whatnot just use a polish.

I've done this, but its more for perfect cleaning, especially when your windows are tinted (but dont use it on the tint)... Chrome polish will clean windows perfectly but Rain X is still going to make the water run off the best!

Completely agree, you don't get better than Rain-X in my honest opinion. That reminds me, I need to pick some up this weekend.
