3.5L-3.9L Mass air flow sensor

One of my friends told me go to jetchips and do a G6 search becuase he found something...... Well its a Mass air flow sensor thats supose to be 45% less restrictive. As I had speed density in my last car and not mass air, am still not good with mass air flow and the tricks to get performance out of it....

Hmm, interesting... $400 but might be worth it if it works. Dont want to try it out for the first time though.

If someone gives actual eveidence that it does works and can provide a real world gain of HP and torque.... I may try it but not if its just like a 5HP gain

So what you think Kyle, since you the air intake expert , think it has protentail for some gains or just ?

It does make sence, but dont know if it making sence and working in the real world are two different things. I just dont know, am curoius though

Second post in a row Anyway, just talked to my dads friend that use to be big on racing cars ect and building them. He said atleast for the mustangs he worked on, just a stock one with a CAI and performance MASS (like jet chips ones) said the the low end and throttle response was a noticable pick up, however, upper mid-high end does nothing for the car. He said for about 200 dollars its well worth it but for 400 dollars he said it completly up to you, if theres nothing out for the car really it might be ok to try.

Thought everyone like to know that above, I still dont know though.

It says up to 45% less restrictive, just like K&N says up to 20hp from changing a filter. I wouldn't buy it even for $100. The MAF isn't what is keeping the hp down on the car.

I have just looked for about 45mins and cant find one other than jet chips. I think I would try it if could find one for 100, maybe 200. But after thinking about it, 400 for jetchips is too much.

But still like anyone elses oppinon on the MAF sensor and if anyone has had experences with a performance MAF sensor before

I had one on my Grand Am. It was great down low, way better response. I sold it soon after I got it though so I really didn't get much experience.

Sorry, I should have clarified... I sold the MAF. Shortly after I bought it my starter randomly decided to commit suicide. I was still in school so I had zero cash and had to de-mod the car a little bit to pay for the repair. It was a great unit... but not 400-500 great.

Ya know, I just realized something, I bought the MAF from Keith (Kman). Small world!
