  • upgrade Stock To Monsoon Radio question

Ok i just got the monsoon stereo from a member on here and had a few questions.
    1) Just unplug the old and plug in the new? Is there different wiring?
    2) For putting an amp in do i need to buy a plug/wiring because it came with no wiring.

ive had the radio out a couple times befor so getting everything apart isnt a problem. If anyone has a link to wiring instructions or any advice it would be appreciated.

        ahh that sucks

Just took it to the dealership, $37 bucks to reprogram and they said they might need the VIN it was off of. Plus he said it might not even work but he would still have to charge me

Your vin# is already plastered all over your car.

Yes, but the VIN # from the car it came out of is not... so i need to get the VIN from the member on here just in case they need it when they do whatever to reprogram it

So that when someone steals a radio, they cant put it into another as easily. It's a security feature. Kinda like when the battery is disconnected on some cars (1994 Jetta comes to mind), you need to unlock it with a code.

They had like 47 different kinds of diapers there so I picked up some ShamWow's and Duct Tape instead
