my question is that if you got the recall but hasn't have any messages showed on DIC but in the long run if it shows after the expiration date of the recall, can I still take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it?

i think there is a date on the letter that you must have it done by. look what i would do is just take it in, tell them that your dic has flashed power steering a couple times before and the steering was stiff.. tell them it happens every now and then, but it is fine right now. they will fix it. i just had mine done and they didnt ask any questions. i have had this problem though, and you will too eventually -
