  • moonson system, sat ready?

ive got the upgraded radio with the 8 speakers and amp in the trunk.

first i must say, im VERY unhappy with the radio. there is a low hiss to the speakers when listening to cd's and the radio.

but anyways, is my radio satellite ready? i mean could i go out and buy the sirius/xm unit and hook it to the back?

I thought the Monsoon had the XM package but if it isn't built in then I'm almost sure you can not. I believe you would have to swap out the radio for the one with XM built in or to get an XM reciever and hook it up like you would to any other radio so that it transmits through a radio frequency or tape deck which I dont think any G6 has. Then run the antenna and mount the XM reciever.

I believe there were other threads on this:

      Maybe these will help.

Ya, and I think the Monsoon system is great. Have the dealer check it out and see if the speakers are blown or something.

My monsoon sounds awesome. I'm renting a Chrysler Sebring convert. and that systems sucks ass.
If you can do it, and E2helper comes along, he'll answer.
