Due to the limitations of the Administrative Message System, this message is being sent in two parts. Part 1 ( DCS1656) – contains the Bulletin and a VIN list for BACs 111122 to 116811 and ; Part 2 (DCS1657) - contains a VIN list for BACs 116813 to 224482 and a VIN list for Saturn by Dealer Facility Codes.
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED
Product Enhancement Bulletin 06147 is being released today to provide dealers with a service procedure to rotate and secure the power steering hose on certain 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura vehicles equipped with a V6 engine (RPO LZ4). If the power steering hose is in contact with the exhaust pipe, it may be damaged.
A list containing the involved VINs currently in dealer/retailer inventory is attached. The list is sorted by dealer/retailer Business Associate Code or Facility Code for easy reference.If your code is not listed then none of the involved vehicles have been identified as being in your new vehicle inventory.
This service procedure should be completed as soon as possible on involved vehicles currently in dealership inventory, but no later than November 30, 2006 at which time this bulletin will expire.
Completion of this procedure will help ensure customer satisfaction and reduce the possibility of future complaints. Please see the attached bulletin for details.
The GM Vehicle Inquiry System (GMVIS) and the AS400 system for Saturn retailers is currently available.
