  • Have any G6 performance mods been adapted for the 3.6L yet?

Topic. I'm looking to make a few performance modifications to my '07 GTP sedan, for a couple horsepower and with any luck a few extra MPG. What's available for the new engine thus far?

Do the Doctorspeed intake systems for the 05-06 models fit the 3.6L fine?

Looking at the pics of the 07 GTP engine bay, it looks as if the stage 2 and 3 and CAB intake should fit fine, but I’m not 100% sure about the stage 4. Also I don’t know how the 3.6's down pipe is laid out. So I can’t tell you if the GT-R exhaust system will work. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a custom system done.

Thanks. I'll try to get some various angle pictures later today, though I can't raise her, so they'll be limited. But I'll do what I can to contribute some more information.

Well, everyone but those rare GTP coupes out there! And if they start producing MTXs, I'm screwed!

I'm probably not gonna jump the gun with the performance mods anyway, as she still needs a lot of time to break-in before she reaches even *stock* potential (still less than 200mi!). Just trying to gather some info.

You can do it, its free, and prob over looked....... Take out you passenger side head light and below you air box is a air intake resonator, cut that off. Just about everyone here that has done anything to there car, that was the first thing they did. If you want to do something to your car and worth the cost and doesnt hurt at all with less than 1K on your car is a Dr speed CAI and a GM strut bar to tighten up your suspention. Anything else personally before like 3-5K miles I wouldnt do unless maybe exhaust work.

I just got the 2007 GTP Coupe - spoke with someone at Dr. Speed the other day. He said that the Cold Air Box would work fine (Basically anything besides the Stage 4).

I too am anxiously waiting for my car to break in, and also want more mods to come available...
