Would a ported sub take a performance hit if I put a mesh grille on it?

It could..........especially at low low frequencies or low decibal output. If you've seen Dan's video's of his subs, they have alot of throw and could possibly kick the heck out of a grill.

most subs dont project out that far, pending the subs, smaller screens should have little impact on performance. ur performance will be IMPACTED more if something hits ur sub (pun intended)sigpic
