    Need Gas Cap How To

    I need a how to on removing the gas door. Any help would be appreciated.

    I originally said gas cap but what I really meant was gas door. Sorry for the confusion.

    turn counter-clockwise? I remove mine that way to put gas in her

    GM door badges removed other then that stock still, but I have removed the rear head rests and flipped the fronts(just did not like them, I'm short) and I do think it looks better
    Hopefully I will get something else done to it eventually

      believe the OP is talking about complete removal of the cap.

        I knew it was not something as simple as like that unless someone was missing a mental lug nuts. Had to say it just to mess around you know.

          I'm pretty sure that plastic thingy that is connected to and keeps the gas cap connected to the car just pops right off. Give it a little tug and you'll be fine.

            i replaced my gf's as hers was defective and u just yank on that little cord dealy and it comes back out. push the new lanyard into the hole from the old one and you are good to go

              Sorry for all the confusion, I do NOT need to know how to remove the gas CAP but rather the gas DOOR.
              Thanks for all the help though. If someone could tell me how to remove the gas DOOR that would be great.

                •Open the fuel filler door.
                •Remove the fuel filler cap.
                •Remove the bolt from the fuel filler pocket at the fuel filler neck.
                •Remove the fuel filler pocket
                •Drill out the fuel filler door rivets.
                •Remove the fuel filler door.

                Remember if "the" and "and" are spelled right its not a genuine Ahuhn post

                    Sweet thanks for the help, that is kinda what I thought I had to do but I knew one of you guys would know forsure. And Rivets really are not that bad, if you have a rivet gun to put them back in that is.
