    AVIC F-Series Owners...

    So my brother just got the F90BT and i was reading on Avic411 and i found this

    is it just me or does this make it sound like you can run windows on these???

    i read the whole thread and no screenshots and nothign but people saying how bad ass or how fuked up t hey are.

    yes you can run windows but it takes a lot of nerd work that even i dont want to do. i like the OS it comes with really besides some of the lag you get but if u wait seriously like 1-1.5 mins its booted up and ready to go.

      ^agreed, cool factor would definitely be there but wait times, etc would be a drag!

        I have seen a article on there where someone put a Windows OS on there Radio.
        The Unit is a Windows based OS but it is a CE Version.
        If you get into doing hacks or mods on that site you will see alot of common things between the Unit and your Computer.
        I'm Thinking about adding a Portable HD to my F7010BT, so I can have all my music in my Car without having my SD Card full all the time.
        Haven't figured out how to do it but I will.

          Tupp, you inspired me today!

          I finally hacked my navigation disc for my AVIC-D2 to add some custom backgrounds (the D1 and D2 don't support this).

            I have the D3 and i love my custom splash screens.

            my brother has the F series




            Oh an Crimson -

            this has firmware 2.0 with updated map packs 2009.5 so... the boot up screen time takes only 30 seconds.

              mine has the latest firmware too (2.0) but no map packs. id say were about even on boot times
