  • Help with 'rebadging' my car

Okay, so I'm pulling the "PONTIAC" "G6" and "GT" badges of the trunk of my car today, no problems there. However, here's what I'm thinking, I want to put the "GT" emblem on the front grill of the car as seen http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0003_large.jpg, and the "PONTIAC" emblem inside the car, on the passenger side as seen in this picture http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0010_large.jpg ..done by user GTPGuy...which btw, love what you've done with your whip. And Moving the "G6" emblem to the current position of the GT emblem on the trunk. I searched how to do this stuff, and came up with nothing..so sorry if this is already a topic. And this is my first post, and im new at mods..so easy explanation and some grace in critizicim would be much appreciated :P

    1. heat gun or blow dryer. if using a heat gun. keep it moving and not on one spot to long. and keep a good distance from the paint as you can destroy your paint.

    2. Dental floss of fishing line. fishing line works better

    3. goo off or bug and tar remover.

    4. you will need double sided tape/double sided adhesive tap

taking your time and have patients. its not easy.

So I'm running into another problem...tape sticks FANTASTIC on exterior...but i cannot get it to stick on my dash..just for kicks, i tried duct tape to see its holding strength, and even the 'can fix-anything' wonder cant grip my dash..what do i do?!

hmmm my badges stuck to my dash without a hitch. the last time i used that 3m padded tape i found that a blow dryer to the stuff makes it practically like glue..maybe try that?

i would suggest using degresser and or rubbing alcohol to clean the part of the dash you want it to stick to. I would guess it is from the interior cleaner your using.
