Ok so this week I changed the oil in my g6, I was a little over 5000k and noticed that i was getting worse gas milage so I got right on it and changed it. Now when my oil was good i was getting like at a high of 10.6L for 100km and now im up to 12.3L for 100km. I am in canada and its cold right now so I dont know if thats whats doing it or not. Please help me figure out. The gas is killing me and I know that this isnt right. I was thinking maybe spark plugs, but I dont know. Thanks guys

Another thing being winter they change the gas at the pump. I forgot exactly what they do but I think they make it richer to help the engine run better in the cold.Current Mods: K&N Typhoon Air Intake System, 10000K DDM HID Lows and fogs, 6000K Highs, 18" Forte Nokturnal rims, Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 Tires, Chrome upper and lower grilles, self tinted tail lights, self painted interior pieces, RacingLine front strut tower bar, GT-R exhaust, Blue painted Calipers, Lampoon blue dart overlays, LED reverse lights, sometimes a WAMS tune,Brembo Brake Conversion, Cobalt SS rear Brake conversion, 15mm H&R Spacers, ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid, Eagle Eye CCFL Headlights, Optima Yellow top Battery, Moog Control Arms & Tie rod ends, BMD SS Brake Lines, BMD Swaybar Links, White LED Gauge Lights,

they make it easier to vaporize because gas doesnt like to vaporize in the cold

Re: Question about gas milage...... I need help
I brag about my car's mpg to anyone who will listen. I think it's amazing for a 4,000 lb car with 200 HP! It beats my daughter's Escort which has over 1,000 less lbs and over 100 less HP.
It also beats my other daughter's Civic, and the other's Mazda 3. GM should be proud of that!
Winter does take it's toll on the mpg but I usually get 400 Km per tank in the winter. In the summer I get almost 30 mpg in the city and have on one tankful this past summer on a road trip to BC it got 47 MPG. My usual is about 44 with straight highway driving. I convert to mpg from L/100 because even though I am a firm believer in the obvious superiority of the metric system, some things just dont sound right in metric to me.
** The gallon I speak of is a Canadian gallon of courseA G6Performance.com member of which owns a 2005 Malibu.
They're almost the same
