As for taking the whole thing apart, no one knows what kind of sealant is used for the aftermarket ones.
Make me a signature and ill put it in here...

The ones JP used to do WERE the aftermarkets..... they use a similar BLACK sealant. SO it shouldn't be a problem taking them apart... with caution of course.

good luck with the stress cracks. i had over $600 into my headlights, but with the stress fractures covering 80% of each lens and looking like shit, i tossed them.

                again, good luck!!!

Heat them in the oven to prevent stress cracks :P

Too bad we couldn't find headlights that are glass

so just taking them apart will cause the stress cracks?

Is there anywhere to buy just the cover then?

Re: take apart halo head lights

You could email the seller to find out where they get them from, then email the manufacturer to ask for a custom set that haven't been sealed yet... only thing I can think of, that's what I was going to do for the Spyder headlights

It's not about how fast you get to your destination, it's about how you many heads
you turn when you get there...

asked everyone that sells them on ebay but no one will tell me where they get them from. The one site I found that actually carries them wont allow me to get any information... so pretty much, stuck between rock and a hard place!

take a picture of the sealant and post it here

also, it isnt just taking the lights apart that cause the stress marks, it is how you put them back together too
