Base model G6 radio problem

Hello I have an issue with the base model radio, when I turn on the Rear Defrost my radio becomes mostly static now, anyone else have this same problem? Is there a simple fix? Dealership states it's "normal"....

make them fix it, your radio shouldnt be affected by your defrost

So in other words I need a better GM dealership? Anything I can do to make them take the car back if they do not fix it? This is my first car and honestly has given me a very poor opinion of Pontiac/General Motors in general.

All dealers will tell you it is normal. That is the nature of the beast. i had the base radio in mine before I went to the 6 disc. I didn't have any problems. If they keep saying that then take them to any of the other 6ers in the p lot and show them. I have had to do it myself with other things. It isn't a gm thing it is all car dealerships. They don't want to have to trace things like that. it isn't fun or easy. Just keep on their asses.

Oh and the problem might have something to do with the antenna being in the back glass too.

Yeah, most service managers are trained in the fine art of convincing you there isn't a problem if it's a warranty job. Now if it's out of warranty, they'll spend three weeks finding it. LOL!

thanks for your input! I'll just keep on them until I annoy the hell out of them to fix the issue in one way or another
So it's only with the base radio, if I have it upgraded the problem goes away? Would I have to pay anything for that?

I had the base radio with no problems. I now have the 6 disc and still no problems. They just need to fix it.
