Painted headlight covers?

Has anyone that has the headlight covers ever thought of just painting them? It might look like we have HIDs.or projectors Because the light would just shine through the holes. I think I might do that this weekend. I probably should go with high temp paint huh?

Well im not sure if you will need HI temp paint, i would think it is more important to use paint that will stick to plastic. Now if you could find some Hi temp, plastic paint you'd be golden

I had mine painted on my cougar. A bodyshop did it, so it was just regular paint like they'd use for the car. Came out nice. But it would no way make the car look like it had HIDs..

That thought crossed my mind, but I couldn't decide whether I'd get them painted black or my body color, Crimson Red. I probably would paint them red, and being I like the shades adding another dimension to the looks of the car, I'm just gonna leave them alone. I honestly still love them though. My car gets so much more attention with them.

Im going to paint them this weekend, i will post pics when finished. Hopefully they come out alright. I dont think there going to look mcuh different during the day, but at night i hope it gives it a unique look

It'll be way different during the day, cause the color changed. It won't make a difference at night

i'm interested in how these will look painted as well. I've been thinking about buying the Projector Style headlight covers and painting them the body color instead of opening my headlight assembly, so I'm very interested in how this goes for you. Can't wait to see the pics.

That looks awesome, but I have similar concerns to Hnda8, so I'm gonna wait and see what the painted Projector covers look like...
