What is the speaker looking module for? My car does not have OnStar or phone capability. Is it a speaker for radio or phone. Does anyone know?

yes it is for the onstar, and there whether you have onstar or not...i was thinking of implementing it in with my phone to use thru speakers eventually

If you don't have Onstar there is no mic installed. I hardwired my Cobra radar detector to the map light wires. There was no mic in there.G6P member 340
