  • Cquence Absolute Cross Rotors w/ Ceramic Pads

    Brand: Cquence
Price: $348.19 including full set of Ceramic pads (Shipped to NY)
    Purchased From: http://www.cquence.net

    Installation: Went to MIDAS
Installation Time: Less than 25 mins
Any Installation Tips You Have: None

    Quality of Part: 9
    Product Performance: 10
Would you Recommend to Others: Yes I definately would!

    Any Other Comments:
These rotors have excellent stopping power. It was an immediate and huge difference compared to the stock rotors. Of course I had to break the pads in even though the pads were labeled as "break-in free". From my daily driving to semi-hard braking it provides phenomenal performance. They do however emit a clicking noise when regularly driving upwards of speeds of 10mph. It's the kind of clicking noise bicycles make when your not pedaling and just riding. It's not annoying to me but a rather unexpected or unusual noise but I'm growing accustomed to them. Definitely recommend this product if you can't get the R1Concept rotors or if you just want something different with awesome stopping power. Here's a pic of the rotors I have:

Do you have any "clicking" sound with them, like a baseball card in the spokes? I have the Ultima Cross and the clicking noise drives me crazy.

Yes i do get the clicking noise but you can hardly hear it at all when the windows are up. The noise intensifies when your driving next to a barrier for example or going under an overpass. It can be annoying but if you learn to drone it out then it won't be so much a bother. Usually I just play loud music so I don't hear them

I have CQuence rotors and i have no clicking noise...

if the directions are followed and directions followed correctly there will be no noise.

so the slots cause the clicking sound and the drilled holes crack in cold weather?

i have cquence and love them

drilled/slotted, i think the clicking is the dimpled ones, haven't heard anyone else with theirs and drilled have that issue yet.

Well I had some MIDAS guys install the rotors for me so I have no idea if they did it based on the directions or just through their experience, but these rotors kick ass! The sound makes the car sound unique in a way. Like a bicycle but with 4 wheels and an engine

Re: Cquence Absolute Cross Rotors w/ Ceramic Pads

well i don't want my g6 sounding like a 1980's bike with playin cards in the spokes...

I heard the drilled ones crack in cold weather...not sure if anyone else has heard of this, or if its just with one brand...cquence or R1

so slotted ones won't cause any ridiculous sound?

im thinign slotted alone would be fine, but not sure anyone has had them to say either

why would the drilled crack, if they are done correctly they will be fine. mine lasted all last winter no problems

Re: Cquence Absolute Cross Rotors w/ Ceramic Pads

they would crack cause its easier for the entire rotor to freeze and crack with holes in it...just like how a bridge freezes faster than the road...the colder temps could reach further into the whole rotor...i just don't wanna buck up 200 and not have them make it past the winer....has anyone heard of this happening?

I know so many people with crossed, drilled and dimpled rotors, this is not a issue at all. Dont worry about them cracking during the winter. It wont be an issue.

As I've said before in teh R1 thread, the usually the only drilled rotors that crack are the ones where shitty company's take the OEM rotors and just drill holes in them. I'm pretty sure true aftermarket drilled rotors are made with the holes already planned out.

I have the drilled and slotted and not the dimples and i get no clicks. When you do the dimpled is when you get the clicks. I recommend the drilled and slotted you can stop on a DIME
