  • Help! How do I...

...get the piece around the cruise controls off the steering wheel?!?

This is what happened...but it was my fault

I would think that the cover has clips holding it in place. Try using a butter knife, to gently lift the edges of the cover. Pull up carefully on one of the edges and check for clips.

If that doesn't work why don't you just try calling your dealership... I'm sure they haven't taken apart a G6 before but they would probably know the standerd way to get it off

no, you're right, if the piece was coming off, she prob would have no problem seeing how they are attached...i just didnt put that much thought into it when i first looked at it

I thought that was just the way it looked, since the cover was coming off.

I have no idea how it would come off, well I have an idea but you know. It probably is just some clips holding it on, and they have to be pulled in the right direction/order.

Its definitely mashed in...I kinda punched it with the side of my fist last night

I tried getting it off right after it happened, but it seemed to have been getting more messed up. I was just using my key tho. I don't want to break anything, but this mofo seemed like it was NOT going to come off...ugh.

Thx for the input tho, I'll try a butter knife in a bit. I think it would help if I knew where the clips were tho.
