  • Lowering half the car?

I've been wondering... do you think there would be any mechanical problems with installing lowering springs on just the front wheels?
I've always wanted to do the front lower than the back, and trying imagine what would happen if I don't do the back at all.

I would think it would transfer more weight to the front wheels (good thing), but not sure if it would stress other parts of the suspension, or screw up handling (or make you see even less out of the useless rear window )

The front of the coupe is already lower than the back, well because of the body design. you'd want to go lower? It might look like a drag car

yeah i don't think i would do it with aftermarket springs...a 2" difference would look kinda silly.

I would think the stress on the front end would be slightly greater then if you lowered the entire car. I think it would definitely look different for sure. But im think with the slight stress and weight change, your ass-end would prolly feel off. Im guessing the you would see more body roll and find the rear end breaking loose more often or easier when going around corners at higher speeds.

            I was thinking more of a 1"

but yeah, I had thought of it making the rear end too drifty... would probably help in straight line acceleration though

If you wanna go for the muscle car look you should start by lowering the back of the car and extending the hood about a foot
