Didn't know where to post this for sure, but I thought I would show off my incredibly painstaking install into my 2003 Suburban...
This is the 'Brain' of the system
It is an AVIC-N1 (Last model that Pioneer made that used the emergency brake to allow front seat video while driving - I wanted this as an OPTION, I am not saying that I condone driving and watching Video at the same time.
I was having a hard time taking a picture, so here is another attempt
This is the remote power switch that I ran to my 325 watt power inverter. It is under the rear seat. I ran a third wire to the switch so it lights up when it is on, that way I don't forget :smoke:
Here is one of the two XBOXs in the truck. Notice the Xecuter plate on the front. It is modified and has a 160 gig hard drive. I have 6000+ NES, 2000+ SNES, 500+ Atari 2600, 500+ N64, Plus Amiga, Gameboy, etc. etc. etc. games on these as well as over 50 XBOX games. Makes it easy on the road not to fumble with disks. Also allows for system link games.
I also have a Wireless G adapter so I can play online if nearby a Wifi hotspot. That is also what I use to install new applications, etc. when at my house.
Oh, I also have about 100 full movies on the drive..
Here is a picture lit up
Here is a picture on one of the screens with an XBOX on
This is another screen (Headrest) running Spiderman 2 from a seperate DVD player under the seat
These are two of the four slot load DVD players that are accessable from under the reat seat.
I also have one VHS player in the back, but I didn't take a picture. It is not that exciting.
This is my IPOD connection.
It is hard to tell in the picture, but I am running Pirates of the Carribean from the IPOD to the main screen. I also can listen to my music this way.
These are remotes that I installed into each seat (Total of four). They allow my kids (That is funny since my kids are not even old enough to use this crap) to change the video source to a total of 4 sources. I actually have 7 sources, but I cheat and run three of them through DVD players to attain even more sources.
All of the kids have wireless headphones and wireless Logitec controllers for the XBOXs.
I love the way the sytem came out. I have the ability to control EVERYTHING from the front seat. I have wireless internet through my XBOX when at a Hotspot. I can play a total of 5 seperate DVDs at the same time (I got the Slot Load DVD Players for free from work - They were part of a larger package that we used to sell) plus 1 VHS and two XBOXs (That can play movies, music, or games).
The kids are able to watch seperate movies on any of the four headrest monitors, play the XBOX, listen to music, or turn their screen off from their own seat while I use the navigation and listen to XM in the front. It makes travel sweet and there is no need to fight (Remember, I have five kids) Or, if we want to all watch the same movie, I can turn the audio through the truck system and even turn the front screen on to... Um.. Let me wife watch
Just wanted to show off a little.
Thanks for looking.
I did all the install and XBOX mods myself.
By the way, I have something similar planned for the G6. Have all the stuff, just need to get off my ass..
