    what should I spend $200 on?

    Since this could span several categories of the Mods section I figured it belonged here in general/uncategorized.

    I have about $200ish dollars of birthday money to spend and I want to put it toward a mod/some mods for my G6. Here are some possibilities I've thought of...

    - window tint
    - Motor mounts
    - heat soak reducer kit
    - save toward a tune
    - save toward the GT-R exhaust and gtp valence
    - HID kit

    What are some other mods I could do, or which of the above do you think I should go for? I am leaning more toward the performance-based ones as I like the idea of improving from the inside out.
    Planned mods:
    HSRK, motor mounts, tinted tail lights, ECM/TCM/whatever tune, hood struts, HIDs, white and blue gauge cluster and CD/menu screen LED swap, GTP rear valance, GXP front bumper, GT-R exhaust
    Finished/in-progress:
    2/8/09 - removed intake resonator | 3/21/09 - installed Injen clone stage 4 CAI
    3/23/09 - 30% tint w/eyebrow
    12/2014 - 2008 stereo install (for aux in)

    You could be Taz's best friend, and wait for the strut-bar to be released and buy the bar and the engine mount inserts. That should run you close to $200.

        definitely tint. That's the first thing I did with my 6. I was very pleased with the outcome.

        Check the difference in my signature. The left is w/o, and the right is w/ 20 in back and 35 front. (to be legal for inspection).

          tint gets ur 6 lookin sweet. i recommend doing that first
          then
          u could do motor mounts and heat soak for under $200

            Done: Debadged, 20% tint, Stage 3/4 CRAB Intake, 08 radio w/aux, leather wheel and radio controls, DDM Tuning 6K HID's
            In Process (waiting on the install): Black Window Trim, GTP rims, Red painted Calipers
            Near Future: Red Angel Eyes, Cquence rotors, color matched headlights, LED tails+3rd brake light

                I am about convinced on the tint. Thinking about 20% as apparently cops around here don't care about tint.

                  I'm gonna have to go with tint too. Not only does it make it look better, it actully serves a practical purpose.

                    bang on with the tint but becareful I thought the police around here didnt care either until they stopped me and destroyed it on the spot..... yay front tint gone........

                          every one says tint but i just got my GB flash techs from chad and im gonna have to go with those... they ran me 157 with shipping and every thing. HIDs are the way to go
                          current MODS: 5% tint all around - ASA JH9 19" rims - JL audio in the trunk -
                          future MODS: flashtech HIDs - eibach springs - touchscreen headunit

                              Mods: 30% tint front, 18% tint rear, custom eyelids, custom painted rocker panels, custom painted side/wing mirrors, GXP front bumper/fascia, eibach pro kit springs, 17" black/machined face liquid metal venoms, interior CF kit, K&N typhoon intake, Flashtech HID's 6000K lows, 10,000K fogs, Xenon 8500k highs.

                              Other ride: 07 Q7 for now
