i live in a front plate state but i havent had a front license plate since i started driving...no tickets either (knock on wood).

i do keep my front license plate under my seat tho just incase... that way i can quickly throw it in between the dash and the windsheild if there is a cop pulling me over

Great idea! Once my plates actually come in... I was planning on running without the front one anyway. So I'll probably do that too.

thats a good thing, if most were all that smart... most people don't think to do that.. as i see with the numerous tickets we get at work from people who have no front plates!!

It depends on the wording of the law. I got a warning once for having my plate in the window. The cop told me that the law clearly states that the plate must be mounted to the front of the vehicle.

yeah.. our city cops are pretty leinient when it comes to being in the window... but the law can get so technical, and the normal person would have no idea otherwise.. sucks to be them
