  • Temp and Gas Gauges Don't Work After White Face Install!

Well, I installed the White Gauge Face, then I find that my Gas and Temp gauge don't work. I had trouble with the Speedo and Tach, at first, but I was able to fix that. Does anyone have any ideas to get the Temp and Gas gauges to work?

Let the car heat up and fill the tank up.

Sorry about being a smart ass.

That was one thing I was worried about when I installed my gauges. I feel lucky that I didn't have any problems. Didn't someone have to get their whole assembly? I forget who. Might be the easiest thing to do. Just start from scratch. Still under warrenty right?

I'm not too sure how these things install, but do you need to remove the needles first? If so you might wanna check to make sure that you didn't put them back on too tight, thus preventing them from moving.

Yeah, I loosened the 2 needles in hopes that it will work. No luck. Thanks though.

Yeah, take them to the dealership and tell them they quit working. Got mine back yesterday.

I'll look at it again in the morning.

oh yeh i got my whole cluster replaced
the way the cluster is set, i think the pulling of the needles causes a problem with its housing

i just got mine back yesterday for the tach fix the 2nd time

best way to put these faces on without messing it up would be holding that housing down so you dont tug on it too

i just got mine back yesterday for the tach fix the 2nd time and im going a different route to install my face this time

try to take needle off again and make sure that housing is secure to itself, i know mine wasnt the first time...then replace needle and see if it ifixes it

if not, put the original face back on and take it to get fixed under warranty
I put the OEM gauge face back on and I'm taking the car in Monday to get the cluster fixed under warranty. I'm not going to mess with it anymore. I will put my WFG face up for sale.

                    GAUGES

I won't ever get any more white gauges! The guys at the bodyshop even installed my N&R white gauges for me and that was at a gm bodyshop Gauges worked fine for a year then shit started to happen I was drivin home one night from the Dells about 100 miles south of me coming home dead serious my needle on my speedo froze up then I had a cop following me didn't know how fast I was going But my needle would only freeze up on me if I would take the car on long road trips 25 miles or more! It kept on doing it so I took into the dealership they wouldn't replace nothing for me since the car wouldn't act up unless you startin drivin it for about 30 minutes! They told me I could replace it but it wasn't covered under my warranty $350 So the same night I traded it in the speedo gauge got stuck once again! That was one of the reasons I traded in the car well besides the 3 accidents it had been :smoke:

Yeah, those needles are delicate. I'm leaving them stock.

Wow... either Im extreamly good or extreamly lucky... or both haha..

but no seriously I did mine (put them on and took them off) and didnt have a problem what do ever!! Only problem I had was putting them on and having them be a little choppy from pressing them down to hard. Once I lifted them up a little it was perfect!!!
