  • Thinking About Getting A Car Cover HELP

Im away at college now so my car isn't in the comfort and safety of my garage , its outside in a parking lot and i think it would be a good idea to get a cover for it so the snow and ice and what not don't take a toll on the 6er. I rather the car cover get messed up than the car. So i never had a car cover before nor do i know where to look for one. Any suggestions/links/pics would be awesomeee!! I tried searching but it wasn't working out too well.

I have a generic cover I bought from Auto Zone once. Works fine. You can look for a cover in places like Auto Zone or Advanced Auto Parts or probably even Walmart lol, just about any place that has accessories for cars. I believe the car size for our cars is 3 if I remember correctly.

I think GMdirect actually sells one, I see them all over the place just keep your eyes open and you'll see em.

Covers a good idea for college, I know mine takes a beating but I rather just clean it cause I'm too lazy to put it on and take it off everytime I drive somewhere. I'm right next to a lake though and I get all sorts of shit blown onto my car so I may get one for the weeks I'm not driving.

I had one for the GN, was some Tyvek fabric.

Was waterproof and I bought it at Western Auto (Advance Auto for you in the US)

Dupont says that tyvek thread is soo tight and weatherproof that not even tint or color could penetrate, hence the white color.

Keep in mind that my GN was parked on the outside, windy and rain. Not a single scratch. I had to pinch it with the doors because of the wind though.

Cost me like 30 or 40 bucks back in 1993
