Official stuff braking thread

For those with too much bass I figured I would start a thread for the crap that breaks becaude of your system. Here is what I have so far.

-Dome lightwhere the mag connects.

-Mirror came off

-Paint scratched off on bumper from trunk lid.

-all 4 clips for the 6x9 in the rear deck are broken off. = horrid rattle from speakers bouncing around

If I get more I will post it. I hope I don't though

I have this problem w/o a system. I guess the trunk rubs on the bumper either during normal use or just when it's shut. I'm not sure.

My bumper is also scratched from the deck lid. I have a stock Monsoon with XM. I would like to say it was happening from rear wheel torque.

Mine is on the passenger side as well.

lol, Well It was there before but now it is huge. Like 3 inches by a half inch on the passenger side.

^^^ yeah get the little light up thing that they did in pimp my ride that says "ridiculous bass" when it is at a certain dessible level LOL.

I might have to add breakage of the windshield. I just noticed it today. I have a bunch of rainbow shaped crackes in the lower passenger side of the windshield. It is on the blackpart. It could be from the hail but I never noticed it before today. It looks like stress marks. I will try to get some pics of it. Dammit. There are no chips out of it either.

It is ok quality stuff. Once I reinforce the trunk it will be hella tight. I just can't decide how to do it yet. I have the trunk so it is squishing the weather seal all the way down ao the lid is solid in the middle but the sides and top still move like crazy.???...??? I think the hail did the winshield. I didn't see it last weekend when I washed my car but you never know. It will be hail as far as the insurance company is concerned. If it breaks again then we know it is the system and I will have to do some serious modification.and maybe just turn the bass down heaven forbid.

Tightening the trunk down sometimes just makes things worse, but it's going to be hard since there isn't really any venting for it. I did look at a friends rental G6 sedan and the trunks on those are flimsy as hell. No offense to anyone seriously, it was just something I noticed when I compared it to mine. I dunno maybe something was wrong with it but they weren't the same quality.

How big was the hail btw?

These trunks are total pos designs. They suckballs.I amgoing to reinforce it asmuchas I can.I am also going to get the extream dyna mat. The crap I used just melted and is just crappy. It is so thin it does almost nothing. It helped a little but it just isn't good enough. I will buy a bulk kit and covet the lid and do the frame out of angle iron.I just don't know how I will attach it to the lid. The hail was golf ball size. Plus I was driving 75 when it started.I pulled off the road and hid under some trees.But I still got it pretty bad.

I'd cry if I ever saw hail that big, hell even the little ones I still cringe.

How about some B-Quiet Extreme, way cheaper than dynamat and it's the same stuff. That's usually what I install with. Anyways, just a thought.

well you should try getting that window fixed under the insurance, if you have that kind of thing in your state with the hail.

Already talked to ins company. It is covered under my hail claim. I am good.
