  • Difficulty choosing projectors for retrofit

    Hello all,

I have a 2007 G6 with DDM HID's at 4300K in the stock reflector housings. I am getting tired of people flashing me at night because they believe I am brighting them so I am going to do a projector retrofit. I've seen plenty of threads concerning this, but the only type of projectors that I remember seeing are Morimoto Mini's in various generations. I know lens diameter is 2.5 inches on the Mini's, and my question is will any projectors that possess lenses 3.0 inches in diameter fit? I was thinking about the D2S or possibly other comparable assemblies. Also, should I want to do a quad projector setup, are there any projector assemblies small enough with small enough shrouds to fit in the high beam bowls? My apologies if these questions have been posed before.

    Thanks.

You could technically get 3.0" projectors to fit, but you'll have to cut some of the radiator support out. It'll take some retrofitting skill to look good too.

What headlights do you have? The regular stock ones, with HID?

Yes, they are stock housings with HID lows. I don't really want to start cutting metal, so I guess 2.5's are the way to go. Any word on any projectors small enough to fit in the high beams?
