Are they worth buying? Also, you have 2 series options race or street whats the difference?

The race ones are much harder and less flex then the street. I might be selling a brand new set.

    Re: Racingline Motor Mounts

they are worth every penny, if you like to get on it a lot........like say if you floor it from a stop, the entire drivetrain will raise up in the engine bay quite a bit and can possible cause damage, but with the inserts it stiffens up the motor mounts, and wont let it move much at all if you get the race series..........the difference between the street and the race is how hard the compound they are made of are....the harder the compound the more the vibration will be felt from the engine.....some people have gotten race and didnt like the amount of vibration, but i have the race series and love them and have had them in for about 12k miles now and either i have gotten used to it or they have broke in or something but i no longer notice the vibration as much as when i first put them in......

IMO tho if you are gonna get MMIs get the race or dont get them at all LOL

agreed, race series anything is typically just for that, racing/dragging/etc--not normally meant for everyday driving

I have the street series and they are very nice. I have some video of how much it stiffens the motor.

    Re: Racingline Motor Mounts

    Well, Its totally worth it!!
But I have both MMI, street in the front, race in the back.
Why, the engine twist so badly when accelerating, that you could fatige in time the engine mounting blocks (big rubber blocks where the engine bolts to the chassis.
Also, the flex hose from the exhaust, the tranny, suspension, etc will suffer.
The best way to go is by mixing them. Both front and rear are the same.
I tried the race in the front and the street in the back and still, the engine moved too much for my liking.
The vibration will be reduced after a couple of heat cycles.... its rubber so it will give some flexibility afterwards.

Now, its a pain to install the back one, at least on an 06 GTP auto!

WOW that's a big difference, I bet feeling the engine more in the car is nice also. I can't wait to upgrade my motor and tranny mounts on the goat to really feel what that 6 liter feels like

it does make a big difference. Im used to it now. but when I first installed them it was very noticeable. I bet some new stiffer mounts on the Goat would be awesome.

EXACTLY lol, and thats why IMHO there is no reason to get anything but race since when they break in and you get used to them, you dont notice much vibrations at all......for me i only really notice vibration in 4th gear under light acceleration when the torque converter is under lockup conditions

no problem on the vids. the order only includes 2 motor mounts. Front and Back. the shock absorber on the passenger side is around $140 dollars. I believe Stillen makes it. and its for the 350Z
