The SE had the option of T/C{NW7} and it's engine-torque-modulated. The GT has full function {NW9} engine-torque and brake-modulation.

From my understanding, NW7 controls slip strictly through controlling torque output of the engine.

NW9 controls both torque output and braking.

So either way, it sounds like a whole lot of power reduction. Booo...

TC is somehow useless on my G6. It never saved me once from getting stuck in the snow.

Considering the craptastic factory tires, I agree. I end having to just let off the gas and glide until I find a place to hook up, or creep at like 5 mph and then slowely apply gas.

Mine works great. I drove my sons Lumina during this last snow storm without T/C but a better all season tire then my car by a long shot and it didn't do nearly as well as my G6. I did turn my T/C off a few times but mine does a lot better with it on when it's slippery. By the way my car has the Bridgestone Potenza RE92's.
