Paying someone to install parts on your car, and bragging about it being fast is like watching someone SMURF your wife, and being proud to raise the kids

anyway.......... but wouldnt u want a straight pipe all the way through? On my intake honestly i feel the increase and today i was stuck in an hour of traffic today and still worked great. but then again i mean idk.. i guess whatever u guys think cause i dont kno much but i am learning. Seems like im always wrong lol
Well i guess if you keep posting things like that... but yea i mean wouldnt you be annoyed if you did something and everyone said you didnt lol. Also Injen said you could just go down there and they will sell and install for 240$ so Phenom up to you.
thats a good deal. but is it better hp/$ than a cobalt intake and tune...idk

You made a second account to by pass a ban? Even guests can access the rules.
Your 2 week ban is now permanent on both accounts. IP banned as well.
Oh and Injen isnt real pleased with you cussing out members here. I told them about your ban
and the way you handled yourself over here.
I contacted Injen and had a conversation with the head of their Research & Product Development branch.
Injen asked that I pass along to the site that they will not outfit another G6 or Malibu and NOT to go there.
They also said this is a short ram only and they will NOT make a cold air intake for the 2.4 G6 or Malibu.
So dont look for that down the road.
I asked them about a CAB and they agreed it would bring down the IAT temps but they said that would be too much work
for the gains. Maybe its my love of the G6 but I think its worth the work.
He mentioned they altered the interior of the pipe and should I ever get one to look inside.
Well dang....now Im curious what they did and how it would alter the dynamics of the intake.
Lastly he said that the diameter is larger than stock but he also confirmed that they reduced it to adjust the flow
closer to stock so as not to throw a lean code. That led me to believe that they made it bigger to be able to say its bigger
but then reduced that down the pipe to adjust the airflow. Kinda cheating if you ask me... Its like wearing a two foot tall hat
and then telling people your 8 foot tall. well yes....you would be but then again your not.
Anyways...
Injen now makes a short ram for the 2.4

They could have used an 8" diameter pipe, then reduced the inside diameter anywhere within the pipe before the MAF and avoided a CEL. Great for bragging rights.
The best option for the 2.4L is to use the proper filter and a CAB in order to reduce IAT and call it a day.

thank you for handling that pooners.
an i will not be looking to get this intake due to the obvious small hp/$ increase. not worth it. im looking into the cobalt and tune instead. thanks guys for ur input on this thread.

I spoke to the OP and he will be coming back after the initial ban is over (2 weeks).
I cant forgive the ban on disrespecting/cursing out of members/site but I can over the multiple accounts.
He is excited about G6P and hes getting a second chance. I will clean up these threads in the next day or so.
Hopefully he will become a valuable member here.

Hi everybody) I came from your twin forum "chevymalibuforum" for an advice. I know our cars are 90% twins so, my question won't be off topic.
Just installed Injen sp7031 on my malibu 09 2.4 ls)
What can I say so far, no check engine, no power gain (feels like I've lost some actually lol), but what a sound.. really love it.
But I have few questions:
1. I just realized that I needed 7032 the one for engines with air pump, my sp7031 doesn't have a hole for an air pump pipe. I just took few pieces of that pipe apart and left it stay half way. Will it affect my car in any way? I don't even know how that pump works, I put my fingers next to that hole and there's nothing blowing or sucking from it. But what if water will get inside?
2. Will that pre-filter water protection cover work fine with it? I feel like it's gonna block some amount of air sucking..
