They are rubbing off, I have not broken down the steering wheel to see if it is possible to replace them or if there even is replacements made. Anyone know about this? If someone makes them I would love to get alternate markings that match the remaps on the new steering wheel module I installed. Speaking of which, anyone reading this that remapped the buttons, what functions did you select? I had the 6 disk monsoon so have a 1-6 button whcih I am thinking of turning into either mute or the phone for BT not sure yet.

Re: Possible to replace steering wheel control buttons?
Yep you can. I actually added mine to my G6 when I had it because it did not come with them.
Not sure what parts are what but I needed all three of these to add them and their short descriptions from my order history.
Here are the part numbers..
15815063 HARNESS
15942439 SWITCH
15825427 BEZEL
The harness you prob don't need as I think thats the wire that runs into the steering wheel which you already have. The bezel I think is the surrounding trim.. so pretty sure you *might* just need the Switch itself part #15942439
You can order them from a dealer, or you can get them from gmpartshouse.com (Gene is the owner, a dealer based out of Penn, really great guy and has super cheap shipping) or gmpartsdirect.com (Another dealer based seller, less personal, sometimes cheaper prices but usually more expensive shipping)2015 Chevy SS, Perfect Blue Metallic, Sunroof, No Spare, M6

Re: Possible to replace steering wheel control buttons?
Damnit Poon, you had to link your progression thread didnt you. I had plans tonight and now instead I am reading through every post! Thank you for the instructions though. The buttons were ordered from GM Parts East they were the cheapest at 25 shipped. The original owner must have been a woman with long nails cause they scratched the crap out of the buttons on the steering wheel and the original head unit I pulled out. At least the radio is gone so that just leaves this weekend project.

Re: Possible to replace steering wheel control buttons?
Forgot to mention Robert, I am ordering paint from that autotouchup.com site you mentioned in another post. Do you or does anyone else have a good link for some tips on painting? I am having to do an entire quarter panel and the roof. I am also removing whats left of the pinstriping as it is in the clear. Any tips/tricks or links greatly appreciated. Hmm, perhaps I should make a new post for that.
