    GXP fog lights not H11?

    I ordered H11 6000K HIDs for my fog lights. They aren't the same bulb. The bulbs I removed say they are Phillips 40W 9040 bulbs. Anyone else have the same problem? The owners manual doesn't say anything about what size bulb the fog lights are. I think I determined that they were H11's off this site, but that must be for the non-GXP cars.

    I decided to remove the headlights to place the h11 bulbs in there. I realized that was a bad idea whithout removing the front bumper. What a hassle.....

      yup... the GXP fogs are indeed the 9040. lows are H11 and highs are H9. Removing the headlight is a trick, but if you do some searching on here, you can find out all you need to know.. almost

        welcome.

        the headlights aren't that bad to get out once you know how to do it.

        as for the gxp fogs, there is a thread telling what size they are on here. it might even be in the parts section

            Well I used tons of tape around the bumper and removed the headlight. My passenger side was full of moisture. I used a heat gun and a vacuum to remove the moisture. I didn't have a drill bit large enough to hook up the HID's to the head lights. I have to wait tell next week. I'm not sure if I want them installed in the headlights. They will be way to bright at night without projectors.

            I'm ordering the 9040 HID kit for the fogs.

              An H10 short HID lamp will work on the 2008 GXP

                Ya I have H10s in mine

                  TRADED IN BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN: 2006 GT Coupe in granite metallic, 15/5% tint, vinyl side marker deletes, Doctor Speed Stage 3 CAI, RED calipers by DupliColor, RED LED interior lights, 45 LED tail lights, WideView 8000K HID coversion kit, Nokya Artic White fogs installed, running MoBil 1, FIRST ever granite metallic color matched headlights!! Color matched eyelids just finished! GT-R Exhaust installed. R1 Concepts drilled and slotted zinc plated front rotors.

                    H10 in my 08 GXP. Stock were H10 and replacement fit. I don't know if the tabs are a perfect fit since they were a pain in the a** to put in...
