Headlight issue

I own a 2006 pontiac g6 3.5l and I used to go in my car on break and flick the knob on the left to turn my headlights off when my car is in park. Now, they do not shut off anymore. I haven't touched any wiring or fuses or anything so I'm not sure what is going on here.

It sounds like the stick is the issue, you could try replacing that.

Wouldn't that mean I shouldn't be able to push forward or backwards and turn the high beams on then? That works fine, just turning the lights off in park doesn't work?
